Working out of my London studio these pieces investigate light and form in its many guises.  My small-scale colour pieces, executed in oil on board, show a range of subject matter but all focus on the fall of light in different ways.

 

With a passion for portraiture of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, I focus on layers of tone to capture the translucence of skin tone and its gentle reflective qualities.  As a member of the West Wickham Art Society, life drawing forms a large part of my practice and I take many of my drawings into final outcomes in oil.
